Calgary Rocketry Club Model Rocket Launch (12 Sep 2026)

The Marlborough Park location is a Low-power launch site within Calgary city limits. The event is hosted by the Calgary Rocketry club.

REGISTRATION AND INSPECTION START AT 9:30AM

The City of Calgary has issued a permit to Calgary Rocketry to use the park on scheduled events as a model rocket launch site, and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR/ACF) has approved the site for use by CAR/ACF members.

The park is NOT authorized as an ad-hoc model launch site by the public!

Launch events are intended to occur once a month, from Apr to October. Planned launches will be announced in advance of the event.

Note: There are no services on site, but this is within Calgary, so within a short drive of pretty much anything.

Model Rocket Range Fees:

Range pass included with Calgary Rocketry Club Membership

$10 – Guest Fliers (Model Rockets)

(Includes a basic event-day membership to fly under club supervision.)

Model and High Power rocket launch. Open to the public. Motor sizes A to M with a ceiling of 20,000 AGL. Any flight with motor larger then a "L", weighing more then 10 kg, or flying higher then 12,000' please contact organizers a least 2 weeks prior to confirm if we can accommodate your project. Fliers must have a valid CAR-ACF membership to fly.
